Other Important Information
To assist our insureds who have not suffered physical damage to their homes or other structures but have been required to evacuate their homes as a result of the Camp, Hill or Woolsey wildfires, Additional Living Expense claims will not be subject to their policy deductible.
As a reminder, our Billing Department can offer the options below to assist a customer or an agent. This process applies to all zip codes identified by our moratorium for these fires.
- Waive late fees
- Offer one month down payments (including changing pay plan at a later date if needed)
- Reinstate policies that lapse in the first term instead of requiring they be rewritten
- If an insured has 2 installments due, we can review the policy’s equity and if possible only require the oldest due date payment
- Extend coverage on renewals for a specified length of time
We would also like to inform you that the claims identified as CAT claims resulting from the fires will not be chargeable if the events have been designated as a serial numbered CAT event, and therefore loss free discounts will not be affected by reporting a claim.
